Mary Russell Obituary

Mary Phyllis Russell, nee Mullins, 80, of Plainfield, IL and formerly of Oak Park and Lombard, IL, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 20, 2011.

Born November 8, 1930 in Chicago to the late George and Emiy Mullins. She married the late Richard Russell on September 9, 1950.

Sister of the late John Mullins. Dear mother of Kathleen (Charlie) Krikorian, Joanne (Sava) Basic and Susanne (Jim) Sutphen; cherished grandmother of Allie Krikorian, Sava (Megan) Basic, Mihajlo (Caty) Basic, Tyler, Rachel and Jake Sutphen; beloved great-grandmother of Brianna Basic; fond aunt of Pamela (David) Panozzo, Rosemary, Michael and Nicholas Mullins.

Mary was a dedicated employee of Montgomery Wards for 35 yeasrs. After retirement she worked at Hallmark and kept herself busy with many activities an friends at Carillon. She was a proud member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Romeoville.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 3:00 - 9:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28,2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 505 Kingston, Romeoville, 60446. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
