Renee Seibert Obituary

Renee J. Seibert, age 68 of Wilmington, mother of a Plainfield resident, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2011.

A daughter of the late Burton and Ruby Baker-Logan, Renee was a 1960 graduate of Thornton HS in Harvey. On September 24, 1960, Renee married Richard W. Seibert and together they lived in South Holland from 1967 until moving to Wilmington (1995).

Renee worked as a beautician in South Holland, as well as served as office manager for Ragland and Associates. Upon moving to Wilmington, Renee gained employment with Ramcorp, and it was there from where she retired in 2002.

Renee was a member of Saint Rose Church in Wilmington, where she was actively involved with the choir, and was a guild member of The Quiltmakers in Kankakee. She had a great love of quilting and sewing, as well as enjoyed crafting and reading. Renee was a collector of Precious Moments and can be remembered for her great love of family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Richard W. Seibert; children: Jeanette Petrovich of Wilmington, Roxanne (Michael) Guadagno of Plainfield, Lisa (Aubrey) Glisson of Braidwood and Juliet (Brian) Howerton of Hobart, Indiana; grandchildren: Eddie, Ruby, Ian and Taryn Petrovich, Lisa Brigham, Benjamin Guadagno, Felicia, Allen, Laura and Karen Gonski and Brianna and Christian Howerton; great grandchildren: Logan, Nadia and Kinzie and one brother Burton (Carol) Logan of Crown Point, Indiana, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Renee was preceded by her parents and grandson Michael Burton Gonski (1991).

Visitation Thursday July 14th from 4-8PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington (815/476-2181). Funeral Mass Friday July 15th at 11:00AM in Saint Rose Church, 624 South Kankakee Street in Wilmington.
