Bill Jacobs Plans $2 Millon Overhaul of its Dealership Facade

The work will modernize the business' exterior and increase showroom floor space, according to a release on the project.

A few years ago, was considering moving its Chevy dealership out of the village.

The idea was abandoned and if any further proof was needed that the business is not going anywhere, it came with the recent announcement that the car dealer will sink $2 million updating its showroom and exterior facade at 16140 S. Lincoln Highway.

The goal is to modernize the business' street appearance and provide more interior floor space to display cars, village Planner Michael Garrigan said.

The Chevy dealership has been in Plainfield for 25 years, according to a media release issued via the PR Newswire. Construction is to begin this winter/spring.

The dealership has also made administrative changes, with Jeffrey Lawson assuming the general sales manager position and Derek Van Flenner becoming the new finance manager, the release said.
