Police say Siebel was driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander eastbound on Shenandoah at 10:15 p.m. when he stopped at a stop sign at Eola Road. Siebel attempted to turn northbound onto Eola when he was hit by a 2011 Dodge Charger that was traveling southbound on Eola at an extremely high rate of speed.
The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old Aurora resident was allegedly drag racing with a 20-year-old Plainfield man who was driving a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. The Plainfield man, who was just south of the other two vehicles at the time of crash, hit the center median on Eola and ended up in the northbound lanes.
