6,800-plus Huskers named to fall deans' list
More than 6,800 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans' List for the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
Following is a list of area honorees, listed with their year in school, college and major. Some students chose not to be listed.

John Carroll University dean’s list includes Plainfield student
Anne Meunier of Plainfield has been named to the Dean's List at John Carroll University for the Fall 2023 semester.
Students eligible for the Dean's List must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours within one semester and have a quality grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

UW-Whitewater announces 2023 winter graduates
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced its 2023 winter graduating class.
The following students earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held December 16, 2023:
- Plainfield, IL 60586: Johnny McGlynn graduated with the following degree: Finance - BBA
- Plainfield, IL 60586: Taiya Stelmachowski graduated Summa Cum Laude with the following degree: Elementary Education - BSE
Approximately 620 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees at the ceremony, held at Kachel Fieldhouse in the Williams Center.

Plainfield native graduated from The University of Tampa
Alexia Turner, of Plainfield, graduated from The University of Tampa on Friday, Dec. 15. Turner received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
The commencement ceremony honored 1,015 undergraduate and graduate candidates and included remarks by President Ronald Vaughn, Stephanie Thomason, professor of management and associate director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership, and the student challenge speaker.
