Plainfield North alumna headed to get master’s in speech-language pathology

Ashley Goeke, a Plainfield North High School alumna, graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University in May. She majored in speech-language pathology and minored in children's studies. This fall, she is headed to the University of Illinois to get her master’s degree in speech-language pathology.

Local students make Bradley University's spring 2022 dean's list

More than 1700 students were named to Bradley's Dean's List for Spring 2022. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must achieve a minimum 3.5-grade point average for the semester on a 4.0 scale.

Plainfield students graduate from Elmhurst University

In an atmosphere that was festive despite gray skies and some afternoon rain, Elmhurst University held its 151st Commencement for the Class of 2022. On Saturday, May 21, nearly 850 undergraduate and graduate students took part in the three ceremonies held throughout the day, out of more than 1,000 Elmhurst students who earned degrees. The following local students earned degrees:

• Ashley M. Myers, of Plainfield (60585), graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Teacher Education.
• Gabriella Rivera, of Plainfield (60585), graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Dennis Michael Taylor, of Plainfield (60585), graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing in Nursing Master Entry.
• Emily R. Wolff, of Plainfield (60585), graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The commencements marked the official end to the University's yearlong sesquicentennial celebrations, and "the first day of our next 150 years," President Troy D. VanAken said.

Augustana University announced that Ruby Power of Plainfield has been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who have a minimum of 12 credit hours with grade-point averages at 3.5 or above.
