Student from Plainfield named to Abilene Christian University dean’s list

Ella Root of Plainfield was named to the Abilene Christian University Fall 2022 Dean's Honor Roll. Root is a sophomore majoring in Theatre.
Root was among more than 1,500 students named to the Fall 2022 Dean's Honor Roll.
To qualify for the Dean's Honor Roll, students must be registered for 12 or more credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Plainfield resident earns spot on SVSU's Deans' List
Nearly 1,900 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the fall 2022 semester Deans' List.
Sarah Gersch of Plainfield was among those honored for academic excellence.
To be eligible for the Deans' List, a student must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or better.

Jacob Hawkins receives degree from Georgia Tech
Jacob Hawkins of Plainfield, IL, has earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Hawkins was among approximately 5,620 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute's 263rd Commencement exercises Dec. 16 - 17, 2022, at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Plainfield student honored by Iowa College Media Association
Jonathan McNamara was one of 33 Wartburg College students to be recognized for their work with student media at the annual Iowa College Media Association awards. McNamara, of Plainfield, earned an honorable mention in Best Sports Program (Audio).
KWAR, the student-run radio station, swept the Best Newscast category.
ICMA is made up of 12 Iowa colleges. The annual conference is held in conjunction with the Iowa Newspaper Association's conference.
