SVSU names Plainfield students to deans' list for winter 2022 semester
Over 1,600 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the winter 2022 semester Deans' List.
To be eligible for the Deans' List, a student must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or better.

Student from Plainfield selected for new Carson Center cohort
Justin Watt, of Plainfield, a recent graduate of Plainfield North High School, is among 45 students who have been selected to join the latest cohort of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.
This is the fourth and largest cohort for the center, which opened in fall 2019. There will be 125 students majoring in emerging media arts this fall.
While 35 of the 45 students hail from Nebraska, this year's cohort also includes students from Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma, as well as Thailand.
"We are excited to welcome our fourth cohort of students to the Carson Center," said Megan Elliott, founding director. "We have a very thorough and highly competitive application process to find the right students who will thrive in our program. I'm eager to see the creative work of this latest cohort."

Plainfield student recognized by Bradley University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Zachary Knepper, of Plainfield, was recognized by Bradley University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He was awarded the LAS Award in mathematics.
