Trine University dean’s list names Plainfield student
Emily Smith of Plainfield, a Trine University student, earned Dean's List recognition for the Fall 2023 semester.
Smith is majoring in Forensic Science.
To earn Dean's List honors, Trine University students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.500-3.749.

Students from Plainfield graduate from University of Iowa
The University of Iowa awarded nearly 1,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students degrees at the close of the 2023 fall semester. Thirteen percent of the undergraduates graduated with multiple degrees, a 2 percent increase over a year ago. As a group, undergraduates posted a cumulative GPA of 3.22 — another year-over-year increase — during their stay at Iowa. The oldest degree recipient was 72 years ago, and the youngest was 18.
