Duke President Vincent E. Price presided over an in-person ceremony for undergraduates in Wallace Wade Stadium Sunday, May 8, and General Motors CEO and Chair Mary Barra delivered the commencement address.

Local students make it on president’s list at Trine University
Trine University students were named to the President's List for the Spring 2022 term. To earn President's List honors, students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a grade point average of 3.750-4.000.

Plainfield first-year makes dean’s list at Abilene Christian University
Ella Root, of Plainfield, was named to the Abilene Christian University Spring 2022 Dean's Honor Roll. Root is a freshman majoring in Theatre.
Root was among more than 1,200 students named to the Spring 2022 Dean's Honor Roll. To qualify, students must be registered for 12 or more credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.6 or higher.

Plainfield natives make chancellor’s honor roll at University of Mississippi
The University of Mississippi announced students named to the Spring 2022 Honor Roll lists, including the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.
- Alexis Obman, of Plainfield, IL, majoring in Forensic Chemistry, was named to the Spring 2022 Chancellor's Honor Roll.
- Audrey Howard, of Plainfield, IL, majoring in Communication Sciences/Disorders, was named to the Spring 2022 Chancellor's Honor Roll.
- Jessica Chan, of Plainfield, IL, majoring in Biological Science, was named to the Spring 2022 Chancellor's Honor Roll.
- Michael Carlson, of Plainfield, IL, majoring in Biological Science, was named to the Spring 2022 Chancellor's Honor Roll.

Plainfield native named to vice president's list for spring 2022
Keegan Haier of Plainfield is among the list of distinguished Northwest Mississippi Community College students to be recognized for making the Vice President's List for their outstanding academic work during the Spring 2022 semester.
The Vice President's List includes students who are classified as full-time and completed the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74.

Student from Plainfield graduates from Monmouth College
Ashley Lublansky of Plainfield has graduated from Monmouth College.
The College held its Commencement ceremony on May 15, and 1997 graduate Kunal Kapoor, the CEO of Morningstar, Inc., gave the address to the Class of 2022.
An educational studies major, Lublansky is the daughter of Michael and Shirley C Lublansky of Plainfield.

Makayla Ashford, a resident of Plainfield, IL, has been named to the spring 2022 Dean's List at Rockford University.
