Millikin University is pleased to announce the names of the outstanding undergraduates who have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester.

Students who attempt 12 graded credits during a fall or spring semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher earn Dean's List honors. Students earning a perfect 4.00 grade point average on 12 graded attempted credits earn High Dean's List honors.

University of Tampa dean’s list includes Plainfield students
The University of Tampa has honored 2,217 students who were named to the dean's list for the Fall 2023 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
The following local students were named to the dean's list:
- Katelyn Grzybowski, of Plainfield (60586). Grzybowski is a Junior majoring in Education-Elementary (K-6) BS.
- Isis Mejia, of Plainfield (60586). Mejia is a Freshman majoring in Actuarial Science BS.

Plainfield students traverse the world for studies
The following Carthage College students traveled during J-Term, a month-long period to explore subject areas. A Carthage tradition since the early 1970s, J-Term, or January Term, study tours allow students to experience new cultures and ideas without committing to a full semester abroad.
- Meghan Felgenhauer of Plainfield studied Spanish Language Immersion in Costa Rica
- Kailey Gerharz of Plainfield studied International Business Marketing and Cultural Analysis of Sweden
- Lauren Klump of Plainfield studied Service Learning in Communities in South Africa

Augustana College's fall semester dean's list
Augustana College announced more than 1,100 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2023-2024 fall semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

Local students study in Rome
For the second year in a row, Lasallian Universities Center for Education in Rome, Italy has a record enrollment of Lewis University students living and studying in Rome. Twenty-four students from 14 majors and four colleges are participating in the LUCE Rome Program for the Spring 2024 semester.
The local students participating in this unique experience are:
- Morgan Lopez from Plainfield (60544) is studying International Business.
- Nicholas Pawlinski from Plainfield (60586) is studying Aviation Administration.
- Alyssa Rull from Plainfield (60586) is studying Diagnostic Sonography.
The students are studying and experiencing a cultural immersion as they live and study in the Generalate, the motherhouse of the global De La Salle Christian Brothers network headquartered in Rome, Italy. Also, the students are enjoying expanded course offerings from the College of Business and the Social Work programs.
