Crash Suspect Charged with Aggravated DUI
Amber Glasgow is being held in the Will County jail on $75,000 bail after being arrested by Illinois State Police Wednesday.

The woman accused of Sunday and plowing into an SUV, leaving the driver in critical condition, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence Wednesday night.
Amber J. Glasgow, 25, 108 Hunts Bridge Road, Matteson, is being held in the Will County jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
The arrest was made by Illinois State Police District 5, which had been holding off on charges until Glasgow was released from Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

The woman whose SUV she struck, 40-year-old Tamara Watkins of , remains in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Glasgow first turned up on police radar in Aurora shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, when they attempted to stop her vehicle for . Despite using their sirens and lights, Glasgow refused to pull over and they halted their pursuit at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Harvey Road near Oswego, a spokesman said Wednesday.

They alerted Plainfield and Kendall County police but neither was able to intervene before she drove through a red light at U.S. 30 and 127th Street, striking Watkins' SUV and pushing it into a pole, reports said. Both Glasgow and Watkins had to be extricated from their vehicles, and Watkins sustained serious head injuries that required surgery.
Two passengers in Watkins' vehicle, her 17-year-old son and the son's girlfriend, were also treated for injuries at area hospitals and have been released.
It's not known why Glasgow was in the area or where she had become intoxicated. The jail booking sheet says she is unemployed.
Glasgow also faces Aurora police citations for fleeing/eluding a peace officer, improper lane usage and speeding.
