Dog Injured In Plainfield Fire Recovering: Fire Dept
The pooch, critically hurt in a fire last week, has been released from a veterinary hospital and is receiving outpatient care.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A family pet that suffered smoke inhalation during an Oct. 2 house fire in Plainfield is now recovering. Fire officials said the dog was in critical condition after it was found with smoke inhalation in the kitchen of a home in the 11700 block of Decathlon Lane by firefighters who responded to the blaze.
The dog was treated at the scene by firefighter/paramedics, then taken to an an area animal hospital for further treatment.
On Friday, Plainfield fire officials said in a news release that the dog has been released from the hospital and is receiving outpatient breathing treatments.

The home has smoke damage and remains uninhabitable after the Oct. 2 blaze, according to officials.The Plainfield Fire Protection District was assisted on the scene by the following fire agencies: Aurora Township, Bolingbrook, Oswego and Romeoville.
