Dress Like Your Favorite Character Day

St Mary Immaculate School in Plainfield Dress Like Your Favorite Character Day Mrs. Lundberg's 3rd Grade Class

Third Grade students in Mrs. Lundberg’s class recently had “Dress Like Your Favorite Character Day”. The students could choose a character from a book they had read in class or from their own independent reading. We had a  goddess from the Percy Jackson series, King Peter from Narnia, Hulk from Avengers, Big Nate, Ramona, Sal complete with a blueberry pail, Just race, American Girls, characters from Dork Diaries, and many more (even including some real life characters Nikolas Tesla and Peg Kehret). It was interesting to see the great variety of selections, creative costumes, props, and hear what the students found so captivating about the characters they selected. Mrs. Lundberg says days like this, and our weekly shares of Books We Love, are helping inspire each other’s reading choices and find new reading passions.
