Gas Price Update: Relief At The Station For Plainfield Residents

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield residents are experiencing some relief at the pump thanks to a decrease in the price for a gallon of gas in the last month.

At around $4.00 per gallon in Will County, gas prices were higher than the state average, coming in at $3.83 Wednesday — that's down 20 cents from a month ago, AAA data shows.

The last time Patch took a look at gas prices in the area, the average was $4.26 a gallon.

Nationally, the price per gallon of gas was going for an average of $3.56 Wednesday.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Plainfield is selling for $3.69 per gallon at Citgo, 16141 W. Lincoln Highway. Here is what other stations around town are charging:
