HopScotch & Vine Latest Downtown Restaurant Entry
The restaurant/bar fills the downtown spot that had been home to Thomas Albert American Wine Bar & Lounge.
The latest addition to the downtown restaurant/bar scene, HopScotch & Vine, has opened for business.
Filling the 24047 Lockport St. spot where had been located, the new restaurant features a large selection of domestic and imported red and white wines, craft beers and scotches. It also has 17 martini options, including red velvet and chocolate banana cake flavors ($8).
Menu-wise, burgers, sandwiches and appetizers ($5.95 to $10.95) are prevalent, but they also serve three entrees -- pot roast, pan seared salmon and filet medallions, priced between $15.95 and $17.95 -- for patrons looking for a more upscale dining option, co-owner Bryce Jordan said.

So far, Jordan said, business has been thriving. House specialities are the buffalo burger, portabella burger and salmon burger ($8.95-$9.95).
Only minor decorative changes have been done to the bar/restaurant, including a new color scheme. The illuminated bar top, which had been Thomas Albert's signature, remains.
