Icy Weather Delays Trash Pickup In Plainfield
Residential routes were halted on Wednesday.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Icy road conditions prompted Waste Management to halt residential pickup on Wednesday. A representative for the Village of Plainfield said the village's Waste Management supervisor has confirmed that routes will be delayed by one day.
Trash pickup service in Joliet and Romeoville was also delayed due to the weather. Waste Management said it was experiencing weather-related service delays Wednesdays in multiple states, including Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio.
Other Illinois towns experiencing trash pickup delays include Lemont, Lockport, Wilmington and Naperville.
