'Little Women,' 'Salvation Road': Tickets On Sale For D202 Plays

District 202's four high schools are gearing up for opening night of their respective fall plays, set to start mid-November.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Fall play season is just about here at Plainfield District 202 high schools. This year, the district's four high schools are gearing up for live performances of shows including Louisa May Alcott's "Little Woman" and Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest."

The scheduled for each high school vary, but plays will be performed for a few days starting in mid-November.

Plainfield Central will present "Little Women" starting Nov. 12. The play — most recently adapted into a hit movie by Greta Gerwig in 2019 — tells the story of four sisters who are coming of age during the Civil War. Students at Plainfield South will put on "The Importance of Being Earnest," which revolves around two bachelors who create alter egos to win over two women. The first performance will be Nov. 19.
