Route 126 Open, Eastern Ave Still Closed For Repairs: Cops
The emergency road closings were in place Tuesday morning after a semi-truck hit and pulled down low-hanging wires.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Route 126 is open to traffic, but Eastern Avenue will be closed for repairs at least through Wednesday morning, Plainfield police said. According to police, ComEd was working to open and restore power in the area after a semi-truck hit and pulled down low hanging wires at the location just after 10:20 a.m. Tuesday. Police said there were no injuries reported.

"The semi was making a local delivery and was of legal height," police said. "No citations were issued."
