Brawl Between Students Leads To Lockdown At Plainfield East: PD

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield East High School was under lockdown Thursday after a fight broke out between students, according to police.

Director of Community Relations Linda Taylor confirmed to Patch that a lockdown occurred but said it has been cleared.

The school went into lockdown at about 1:13 p.m. when a teacher activated the lockdown alarm after observing a physical altercation between students, Commander Anthony Novak told Patch. Neither student required hospital transportation due to the fight, he said.
