Meet the Candidates: Parent Group Hosts Plainfield School Board Forum

CAPE parent organization will host a forum for six candidates vying for four seats on the District 202 Board of Education.

The event is slated for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at the District 202 Administrative Center, 15732 Howard St. in Plainfield. The event is free and will be recorded and posted on the District 202 website.

Three incumbents -- David Koch, William Slabich Jr. and Rod Westfall -- are seeing re-election. Also running are Nabeeha Bakhrani, Michael Robey and Robert C. Smith, all of Plainfield.

Board president Michelle Smith, recently defeated in a bid for a state Senate seat, is not seeking re-election.

Comprised of parents and administrators, CAPE is the district's committee for Coordination of Administration and Parent groups for Educational efficiency.

The consolidated election is Tuesday, April 4.
