Movies, Concerts At Settlers' Park Return After Memorial Day
Some nights, family-friendly movies will be showing at the park. On other evenings, musicians will take to the amphitheater to perform.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Movies and concerts at Settlers' Park are set to return this summer in downtown Plainfield.
Movies, being shown on a 20-foot inflatable screen, will begin around 8:30 p.m. Here's a look at what movies are playing this summer in Settler's Park:
- June 9: "Puss In Boots: The Last Wish"
- June 23: "Minions: The Rise of Gru"
- July 14: "The Bad Guys"

Concerts at Settler's Park's Richard A. Rock Amphitheater are also making a comeback this season. Performers will rock the stage from 7-8:30 p.m. June 15, July 20 and Aug. 3. The band Voyage is slated to perform the first night, Soda the second, and The Wayouts the third.
Settlers’ Park is located near the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road, just south of the Village Hall. Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road.

Only a limited amount of terraced seating will be available, so locals are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray to both movies and concerts.
If inclement weather is forecast on the days of concerts, the performances may be held in Village Hall or rescheduled, organizers noted.
