No Shortage of Easter Activities at 'Egg'straordinary'

Easter will be celebrated morning, noon and night in downtown Saturday courtesy of 's daylong Egg'straordinary events.

Things kick off at 9 a.m. with Breakfast with Easter Bunny at Larry's Diner and wrap up near midnight with Moe Joe's 7th Annual Bunny Bash and "famous egg throw."

Plan your day using this schedule:

9 a.m. to noon: Breakfast with Easter Bunny at . The kids' special is $4.35 and includes a drink. Call 815-436-3055 to make a reservation.

9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Easter crafts and stories at the .

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Free spring crafts sponsored by the in the Heritage Professional Center foyer.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Follow the downtown "Bunny Trail" to get a passport stamped by each participating business (see list below). Passports are available at every business and each stamp can be redeemed for an egg from the Giant Easter Basket at the old Plainfield Fire Station on Des Plaines Street, where there will also be a jumpy, jelly bean and coloring contests and stilt-walking balloon artist. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Easter photos will be done for $5 at the old fire station.

11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Lunch with the Easter Bunny at . Kids' menu items cost $4. Call 815-733-5212 to make a reservation.

2 to 5 p.m.: Make you own sundae for $3 at , where there will also be a basket raffle.

6 to 9 p.m.: Free wine and chocolate tasting at .

10 a.m. and later: 7th annual Bunny Bash, featuring a live DJ and egg throw.
