Obituary: Trent "T.D." Veleker

A Shorewood resident and graduate of Plainfield South High School passes away unexpectedly at the age of 24.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Trent “T.D.” Veleker

Trent D. Veleker, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 24. He was born in Hinsdale, IL, on November 17, 1998, the son of Brian and Rachel (nee Webster) Veleker. Trent grew up in Shorewood and was a graduate of Plainfield South High School.

Trent loved the outdoors. He enjoyed playing disc golf with his friends, sitting by the water with a fishing pole in his hand, and going on hikes through the forest. He was an avid Chicago Bulls and Cubs fan, had a passion for cooking, and just like his father, was an awesome guitarist! Above everything he did in his life, he was most proud of being a father to his two beautiful girls.

Trent is survived by his two daughters, Savannah and Malayna Veleker; his mother, Rachel Veleker; sister, Olivia Veleker; brother, Max Veleker; maternal grandmother, Sandy Webster; paternal grandfather, Brent Veleker; two uncles, Russ (Hibby Thach) Webster and Tim (Ashlee) Veleker; cousins, Ryan and Addie Veleker; great-aunt, Karen Donarski; and the mother of his daughters, Tamara Villegas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Brian Keith Veleker; and his paternal grandmother, Barb Veleker.

A Memorial Gathering for Trent D. Veleker will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rachel Veleker to be used for an education fund for his two daughters.
