PEMA Hosts Event To Fill Bus With School Supplies For D202 Students

Locals will have several hours to drop off school supplies at the bus that will be parked at the Plainfield Moose Lodge.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Emergency Management Agency is organizing a fundraiser to fill a school bus with supplies for Plainfield School District 202 students.

Locals can drop off supplies between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 29 at the Plainfield Moose Lodge parking lot, 16310 S. Lincoln Highway.

PEMA is supplying the bus for the event, meant to help students during the 2023-24 school year.

The following school supplies are needed:

  • Pencils (regular and colored)
  • Pens (black and blue)
  • Glue
  • Glue sticks
  • Paper
  • Rulers
  • Notebooks
  • Backpacks
  • Markers
  • Dry erase markers
  • Post-it notes
  • Crayons
  • Index cards
  • Folders
  • Kleenex
  • Paper towels
