Petition Filing For April 2023 Plainfield Consolidated Election Begins

So far, four people have filed petitions to run for one of the three trustee positions open in the Village of Plainfield.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Starting Monday, candidates for positions including village trustees and Board of Education members began filling their petition packets with the Will County Clerk’s Office and Village of Plainfield.

In Plainfield, the seats currently held by trustees Harry Benton, Kevin Calkins and Brian Wojowski will be up for election April 4, 2023. The trustees will remain in their elected roles until their term ends April 20.

So far, four people have filed petitions with the Village of Plainfield to run for the spots: Peter Adamson, Margie Bonuchi, Richard Kiefer and Wojowski.

Several people have also filed petitions with the Will County Clerk's Office for seats on the Plainfield School District 202 Board of Education.

After circulating their petitions for three months, candidates running for office began filing their petitions Monday for the upcoming April election. The deadline for candidates to file is 5 p.m. Dec. 19.
