Plainfield Academy Closed Wednesday
Campus closed due to "environmental and ventilation issues."
Plainfield School District 202 on Tuesday announced that Plainfield Academy, 23930 W. Lockport St., will be closed Wednesday.
The school, which houses the district’s alternative middle and high school programs, will be closed “due to environmental and ventilation issues in about five classrooms,” the district said in an email.
“We will proactively address these issues in consultation with an air quality control expert, and will also do a thorough cleaning of these rooms Wednesday,” Director of Community Relations Tom Hernandez said.
