Plainfield Cruise Nights Dates, Themes Announced

PLAINFIELD, IL — Summer is around the corner, and that means the return of outdoor activities in Plainfield. Cruise Nights is among the series that will start up again, and dates for the weekly event have been approved, organizers announced Monday.

Plainfield Cruise Nights will take place each Tuesday starting June 7 and run until August 23. Each Tuesday will feature a different theme, with the exception of June 21, when there won't be a show due to another scheduled event.

Cruise Nights will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. "Hawg Pen" — where bikers can display their prized motorcycles — will also take place each Tuesday during the same timeframe as the main event.

This year, sponsoring companies are Webb Chevrolet Plainfield, D'Arcy Buick GMC, Ron Tirapelli Ford, Rod Baker Ford and Greater Midwest Exteriors.

• June 7: Season Opener (Tractor Night)
• June 14: GMC Truck Night
• June 28: Pontiac Night (School of Rock)
• July 5: Corvette Night (Tractor Night)
• July 12: Mustang Night
• July 19: Import Night (School of Rock and Tractor Night)
• July 26: Jeep Night
• August 2: Ford Truck Night (Tractor Night)
• August 9: Ford Bronco Night
• August 16: Mopar Night (Tractor Night)
• August 23: Final Cruise Night (School of Rock)
