Plainfield D202 Represented By 84 Students At ILMEA District Festivals

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield School District 202 will be represented by 84 high school musicians at the Illinois Music Educators Association district festivals for jazz, choir, band and orchestra in November.

The students from all four District 202 high schools, selected based on a competitive audition, will perform in the District IX festivals, with the band, choir and orchestra festival scheduled for Nov. 11 at Dundee Crown High School in Carpentersville.

The jazz festival took place Nov. 4 at St. Charles East High School.

At the upcoming festival, students will rehearse with top musical instructors before performing a concert with students from other District IX areas. Later this fall, students will learn if they qualify to perform at the ILMEA conference to be held Jan. 24-27 in Peoria.
