Plainfield Fireworks to Go Off July 3
Games and fun will be held at Plainfield Central High School.

The Plainfield Park District will hold its Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 3. The fireworks will be set off at dusk and the event will be held at Plainfield Central High School at 24120 W. Fort Beggs Dr.
The event is free and will feature a bike parade, big trike races, inflatables, play zone and military organizations face painting, among other events.
The raising of the flag will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a decorating of the bikes. Also at 6 p.m. knockerball begins. The Kids’ Patriotic Bike Parade starts at 6:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m. there will be a dance performance by the Park District Dance Team. At 8 p.m. the fun and crazy contest for kids ages 3 to 10 will be held followed by the Uber Fun Contest for ages 11 to 13 at 8:15 p.m.
At 8:30 p.m. the American Legion will retire the colors and train rides will end. At 8:45 inflatables and games close.

Bring your blankets, picnic baskets, lawn chairs and coolers. Concessions will be provided by the Plainfield Central High School Athletics Booster Club.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on school property.
