Plainfield South defeated Plainfield East 38-0 Friday night, sending the Cougars to the state playoffs. The Bengals (6-3) will also head to the playoffs, having clinched their first-ever berth with a win over Plainfield Central last week.
Meanwhile, the two other Plainfield teams ended the regular season with a loss Friday. Plainfield Central (0-9) fell 55-7 to Oswego, while Plainfield North (3-6) lost a 27-13 game to Oswego East.
