Plainfield Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Police said the case remains under investigation.

A 49-year-old Plainfield man faces charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under age 18, and police said the case remains under investigation.
David B. Libby, of the 24000 block of Joseph Avenue, was arrested Tuesday, police said.

Plainfield Sgt. Mike Fisher declined to release any additional information, saying the case is “very sensitive in nature” and remains under investigation.
According to Will County court records, Libby is charged with a dozen counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, with alleged offenses dating back as far as June 2001.

Libby appeared Thursday in Will County court, where his bond was set at $5 million. He is due back in court March 12.
