Plainfield Man in Critical Condition After Being Shot in Head
Police found the man unconscious and lying in the middle of the street.

A Plainfield man is in a suburban Chicago hospital after being shot in the head Saturday, according to a release from the Aurora Police Department.

Witnesses told police the 22-year-old man was at a party thrown at a business in the 600 block of N. Lake St. in Aurora before he was shot. Police found the man unconscious and lying in the middle of Illinois Ave. at the intersection with Lake St. with a gunshot wound to the head. The shooting occurred at around 12:45 a.m. Sept. 5. Police were initially called to the house for a disturbance.
