Board president Mary Kay Ludemann said the increase will mean an additional $12 to $17 on park district residents’ tax bills. The new cost represents a 6.2 to 8.5 percent increase, depending on the value of the taxpayer’s home.

“It’s just our normal increase that’s allowed” under state law, Ludemann said.
