Plainfield Railroad Crossings To Close For Track Repairs

You'll want to avoid these crossings during construction.

PLAINFIELD, IL — There's nothing more quintessentially Plainfield than getting stuck waiting for an interminably long train to pass. But starting July 9, some Plainfield crossings will be completely impassable as Canadian National completes track repairs.

Here's the schedule, according to Plainfield Police:

  • 127th Street (east of Route 30) - The crossing will be closed July 9-13.
  • Renwick Road (east of Route 30) - The crossing will be closed July 16-19.
