Plainfield Saints Youth Football, Cheer Earn State Titles
Pee Wee football team moves on to Midwest Championship, while cheerleaders head to nationals.

The 2014 campaign for the Plainfield Saints Youth Football and Cheerleading Organization has been a tremendous success. Led by President Kurt Wenzel the Saints compete in Pop Warner, the nation’s largest youth football, cheer and dance organization, which has been in existence since 1929.
Pop Warner utilizes football, cheerleading, dance and a respect for education to develop strong, smart, responsible, healthy young men and women. The experiences build their appreciation for and understanding of leadership, teamwork and discipline.

The Saints Pee Wee Football team just captured the organization’s first State Championship last week with a 20-6 victory over the Stickney Wolfpack at Hinsdale South High School. This season, the defense shut out 8 out of 10 of their opponents and allowed only 26 points. The team now moves on to to play in the Midwest Championship in Michigan City, Indiana on Nov. 22.

Cheerleaders earn spot at nationals
Plainfield Saints Midget Cheer took first place at their State Competition and 2nd place at the Regional Competition. This earned them the ability to compete in the national meet in Orlando, Florida.
