Plainfield Sex Offender Charged With Lurking Around Forest Preserve Now Wanted For Skipping Court

Predatory sex offender Jonathan Fogelman is a wanted man after missing court Wednesday.

A predatory sex offender from Plainfield who was charged with lurking around a forest preserve in October now has a warrant out for his arrest for missing court Wednesday.
Prosecutors had already moved to revoke 21-year-old Jonathan Fogelman’s sex offender probation. He also caught a new case for allegedly hanging around Lower Rock Run Forest Preserve across Route 6 from Joliet’s Hollywood Casino.

As a registered sex offender, Fogelman is forbidden to enter public parks. Sex offenders also cannot live within 500 feet of a school, day care center, youth center or other facility that caters to children younger than 18 years old. They are prohibited from passing out candy on Halloween as well and may not appear in a Halloween costume or in the costume of any other child-centered holiday character, such as Santa or the Easter Bunny, in public.

Fogelman pleaded guilty in August 2013 to charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and possessing child pornography. The Naperville police had arrested him for abusing a 13-year-old friend of his family and also having a pornographic digital image of the girl.
