Plainfield South High To Host 5th Annual Marching Band Invitational

All four Plainfield high schools will perform at the fifth annual show set to take place at the end of September.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield South High School will be the host of the fifth annual Marching Band Invitational Sept. 24.

Marching bands from 18 Chicagoland and northern Illinois schools are scheduled to compete at the event at 7800 Caton Farm Road. All four Plainfield high schools will participate in the event, with Plainfield South High School scheduled to perform an exhibition show at 7 p.m.

Gates to the event, which first took place in 2017, will open at 12:15 p.m. The first performance will start at 1:15 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, Plainfield School District 202 employees and senior citizens. Entrance is free for children younger than 5. Parking will be free, and concessions and merchandise will be for sale.
