Plainfield South Places Third Overall At Art Conference

Twenty-five students from District 202 high schools earned high honors in the Southwest Prairie Art Conference in Romeoville March 5.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield School District 202 high school students took home several awards at the Southwest Prairie Art Conference hosted at Romeoville High School March 5.

Plainfield South High School placed third overall, while 25 high school artists earned high honors at the conference, district officials announced Wednesday.

More than 130 students from 12 high schools throughout the area participated in the weekend conference. Schools present included Plainfield Central, North, South and East high schools; Joliet West and Central high schools; Minooka, Oswego, Oswego East, Romeoville, Yorkville and West Aurora high schools.

One student from each school also earned the title of "Up and Coming Artist."
