PSHS Bass Fishing Team Battling Cancer and Weather!

Plainfield South High School Bass Fishing Team Battling Cancer and Bad Weather

The Crazy Rains and flooding Hampered the 2 events for the PSHS Bass Fishing Team on Saturday. Safety first when dealing with Storms. The Other 2 Events Sunday were Cancer related events and PSHS Bass Fishing Team knocked them out of the park!

Head Coach Pat Scanlan Presented the Illinois B.A.S.S. Nation a Donation Check from the Bass Fishing Team for $150.00. The Total Donations were just over $210.00 For the Ralph Sweat Fund Battling Brain Cancer. If not for Volunteers from the I.B.N Like Ralph Sweat, Jim Blumenstein, Ed Gad and Mike Towe the High Schools would have far less Opportunities to fish in Bass tournaments. PSHS Bass Fishing Team Is the 2017 IBN State Champions. I’m very proud of this Bass Fishing team and Blessed to be affiliated with such great caring and giving people.

Coaches Pat Scanlan , Bud Edmunds, Brian Malatia, Lisa & Bob Bobich as well as Justin Malatia and Matthew Palmer and Trevor Kaplar Donated their Time and Effort and helped a Family in need who just had a Death in their Family as well as the Father battling Cancer. A team outing to help rebuild a fence from Scratch destroyed in the last 2 storms. Turned out to be a 9 hour project which is nothing compared to Chemo Therapy and Battling cancer. The Bass Fishing Team is learning life lessons as well as Fishing Knowledge!
