Resurfacing, Sidewalk Projects Approved In Plainfield
The village approved nearly $3 million in projects for the Whispering Creek, Liberty Grove and Plainsman Terrace subdivisions.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Village trustees last week signed off on nearly $3 million in asphalt resurfacing, as well as new sidewalks, curbs and gutters, in the Whispering Creek, Liberty Grove and Plainsman Terrace subdivisions. The $2,974,332.73 contract was awarded to P.T. Ferro Construction in Joliet.
The village received a total of six bids for the project, which includes asphalt resurfacing within the Whispering Creek subdivision (Meadow Lane, Buttercup Court, Clover Court, Willow Drive, Sunshine Lane, Sunshine Circle, Sandbank Drive, Poppy Lane, Daisy Court), Liberty Grove
subdivision (Meadow Lane, Freedom Way, Soldier Court, Liberty Grove Drive, Cavalry Court, Constitution Court, Gettysburg Road, Colonial Parkway, Patriot Court, Scott Drive, Grant Court, Presidential Avenue, Declaration Drive, Independence Drive, Independence Court, Federal Circle, Capital Drive, Government Lane, Jefferson Avenue, Springfield Court, General Court, General Drive, Brigade Lane), Plainsman Terrace subdivision and Village Center Drive.

The project also includes the removal and replacement of selected areas of concrete sidewalk; installation of new concrete sidewalk; curb and gutter removal and replacement; drainage and lighting improvements; sign replacement; and pavement striping.
