Rocktober Beerfest: No Road Closings, But Expect Delays
Plainfield police are warning drivers to expect traffic during the three-day fest.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield police are warning drivers to expect delays during a three-day beer and live music fest in the village. Rocktober Beerfest Plainfield, hosted by StarEvents, is scheduled for Sept. 21 to 23 and promises beer, bands and brats in celebration of "the rich German heritage and (playing) off the spirit of a traditional beerfest." The event will take place at the newly completed Pace park-n-ride at 143rd Street and Van Dyke Roads.
No road closures are expected, but minor traffic delays may occur on Van Dyke Road near Depot Drive, police said. Set-up for Rocktober Beerfest will begin on Thursday, Sept. 20. PACE Bus service will not be interrupted and will continue throughout their normal service hours both Thursday and Friday.

PACE bus users are asked to continue to park in the southern and eastern portions of the parking lot.
Parking for Rocktober Beerfest will be in the Park and Ride, with overflow parking available at the Plainfield Public Works and Plainfield Police facilities located within ½ mile of the event on Coil Plus Drive.
