Sex Offender Nicholas Diddens Had Photo Of Nude Girl: Complaint
Nicholas Diddens of Plainfield was taken into custody last week by the Will County Sheriff's Department.

JOLIET, IL - A 30-year-old sex offender residing in Plainfield remains incarcerated in Joliet after being arrested last Friday on felony charges of child pornography possession. The criminal complaint filed at the Will County Courthouse accuses Nicholas B. Diddens of possessing a digital image on a SanDisk flash drive last Thursday that contained a photo of a fully nude female child under the age of 13. Diddens, who lives in the 20900 block of Barrington Lane, has been unable to come up with 10 percent of his $100,000 bond to get himself out of the Will County Jail while his latest criminal case is pending.
Court records indicate Diddens is single and has no financial assets, though he indicated on court forms that he pays $300 in monthly rent. The Will County Public Defender's Office has been assigned to handle the Plainfield sex offender's criminal case. Patch reported last week that Diddens previously pleaded guilty to two to other child sex offenses.
According to the terms of his bond set by a Will County judge, if Diddens posts bond in the future, he is forbidden from accessing the Internet, social media accounts or any children.

In 2004, Diddens pleaded to sexual exploitation of a child. For that, he received two years' probation and was required to register as a sex offender, submit to a DNA test and disease testing, as well as complete a psychological evaluation and comply with the recommendations that came from it. Court records indicate he completed treatment in 2006 and his probation was terminated.
