Spring Cleaning In Plainfield: Bulk Items Can Be Left At Curb
April also marks the start of a new season of waste collection in Plainfield.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The season for spring cleaning has returned, meaning Plainfield residents have another chance to place bulk items at the curb during regular waste pickup.
The Village of Plainfield and Waste Management are sponsoring a spring cleanup for residents during the week of April 8, giving locals the option to leave household refuse and bulk items at the curb by 6 a.m. on their regular pickup day. Eligible items include chairs, couches and mattresses wrapped in plastic as well as refrigerators, washers, dryers and water heaters.
Some items excluded from spring cleanup are electronics, hazardous waste, tires, construction and demolition materials, concrete, rocks, dirt, engines or large automotive parts, and any oversized items that can't be placed in a compactor-type truck. The excluded items can be disposed of using At Your Door Special Collection, which can be scheduled online or by calling 800-449-7587.
