Springtime Ballroom Dance at the Timbers

The Del Bergeson Orchestra will provide the music for a “Springtime Ballroom Dance” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. The public is warmly welcome to the free event.

Members of the orchestra are 25+ year music professionals, each with a deep passion for music and entertaining. Several members are music instructors teaching at the university level.

Del Bergeson, director, has experience and talent. During his school years, he was involved in directing numerous theater orchestras, and he sang as part of several vocal and swing ensemble projects. He played for the Old Chicago Mall Circus Band and the Shiners Circus Band for two seasons,

He played trombone and was a vocalist with the Jay Mau Orchestra, and he sang the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Sammy Davis Jr. standards.

The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
