Roads Open After Train Blocks 135th And Van Dyke Intersection
The railroad crossing at 135th Street and Van Dyke Road is open after being closed for a little more than an hour due to a stopped train.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The railroad crossing at 135th Street and Van Dyke Road is back open after a stopped train blocked the intersection around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
Police estimated the problem would take about an hour to resolve, and roads opened around 3:30 p.m.
There is currently a train stopped on the tracks blocking the crossings at 135th St and Van Dyke Rd. Please avoid the area, as we have been given an ETA of about an hour. We appreciate your patience. pic.twitter.com/C6mtQsMIbp
