Tap House Grill Wins Chicago WingFest

The restaurant, which has a Plainfield location, earned the "Best of Fest" and "Best Exotic Wing" at the 14th annual event.

Tap House Grill was crowned "Best of Fest" at last month's 14th annual Chicago's Best WingFest, coming out on top among 20 Chicagoland resturants competing for the honor.

Tap House, which has locations including Plainfield, Oswego and Lemont, also earned the "Best Exotic Wing" award for its "Fire Cracker" wings. The eatery will get to keep the Best of Fest trophy on display until next year's WingFest.

Led by chef Bob Andrea, Tap House brought 3,000 wings and two different sauces to the fest as the restaurant competed in the "hot" and "exotic" wing categories. The wings were judged by randomly chosen fest-goers.

This year's sold-out Chicago's Best WingFest took place Feb. 24 at Bailey Auditorium in Chicago.

To celebrate its big win, Tap House will feature their award-winning wings, along with three other creations by "Wing King" Andrea, during a WingFest promotion now through March 31. None of the featured wings are on Tap House's regular menu and will only be available during the promotion.
