There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — Fall is a great time to get outside in Illinois and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, pumpkin patches and apple orchard visits.

Here are a few festivals and events in Plainfield worth putting on the calendar:

• Take part in Werk Force Brewing's formal Midnight at the Masquerade Oct. 21.
• Attend the Villainous Drag Brunch at Wine & Cheese Co. Oct. 23.
• Dress up for American Legion Marne Post 13's Halloween Costume Party Oct. 22.
• Visit Plainfield's Bronkberry Farms before its fall season ends on Halloween. Activities include a U-pick pumpkin patch, hayrack rides, face painting, farm animals and dozens of craft and food vendors.
