Utility Work Requires Downtown Plainfield Intersections Closure
The storm and sanitary sewer work is part of Old Town Phase One. To make room for the project, several streets will be affected.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Contractors will be completing storm and sanitary sewer work at the intersection of Lockport Street and Bartlett Avenue through Friday, officials said.
Parts of both Lockport Street and Bartlett Avenue will be closed to all traffic as a result of the construction. The work, which began Wednesday, is part of Old Town Phase One utility improvements.
The project affects several other streets in downtown Plainfield:

- Dillman Street will be closed to all traffic at Lockport Street during the day while work takes place.
- Lockport Street will remain closed to through traffic at Center Street.
- Southbound Bartlett Avenue will remain closed to through traffic at Amboy Street.
- Local traffic and school buses will temporarily be allowed to travel northbound on Bartlett Avenue, between Lockport Street and Amboy Street (allowing for two-way traffic), while this work takes place.
