Want to Know More about Patch? Check This Out

As you may or may not know, Plainfield Patch is one of more than 850 Patch newspapers that are published online all over the country. Each has a specific mission of providing as much local news as possible for the town in which it's located, a concept called "hyper-local" reporting.

This week, Patch presented this video at Advertising Week, the annual gathering of advertising, marketing and communication companies from around the world that's held in New York.

Take a look and you'll get a better idea of what our mission is, and how much importance we place on the value of gathering local news for our towns in a world where nonbiased sources of local information -- particularly print newspapers -- are disappearing at a rapid rate.
